I tend to hybernate during the winter.

I have the worst mental block when it comes to cold weather (keep in mind I am in Texas, so I consider anything below 75 as cold). This happens every year, the winter comes, I dont work out as much because I don't even want to go outside, I eat poorly, and I tend to gain about 10 pounds. Then spring hits, and my motivation begins to creep back up. This year was no different, but I really wish I could find a way to get past my lack of motivation in the winter, so I wouldnt have to work as hard in the spring to make up for it!!

Then you haven't got too step outside.......yay.....and you loose weight, and haven't got to que for showers

True! I did the 30DS over the summer, that video kicked my butt. I worked out a lot before that, yet I still saw my body change. I am going to do it again in May, before summer really starts :).

Luckily, the weather is changing here. I am starting to feel like myself again, but not looking forward to kicking my own butt for the next 30 days to make up for the damage over the winter. I do have to admit though, taking a break from a crazy workout schedule, and splurging on the diet for a while was nice. But now, I am ready to get back to it.

I would say just get up and do it. I ran outside in a blizzard a few days ago. I have regularly run when it is below 0. The only time I don't run outside due to the weather is when the sidewalks are icy.

Weather is just an excuse not to exercise. There are tons of things you can find to do whether inside or outside. You have to find the motivation or accept that you may gain weight during the "winter".

I feel the same during Massachusetts winters, especially when our daylight decreases to only about 9-10 hours a day (most of which is while I'm at work). It's literally dark traveling to/from work and I work in an office so I feel like I never see the sun. And it's cloudy half the time which doesn't help. It's only just starting to get lighter out during travel times so it's refreshing. I just want to sleep when it's dark all the time! The light definitely gives me more energy. And the snow. I hear a blizzard is coming and I'm ready with shovel in hand! I <3 the snow! For me, it's gotta be in the single digits or negative degrees before I think it's too cold out. 75, to me, is HOT. It's gotta be below 70 for me to feel comfortable!

LoL snow in Texas means we shut down and stay inside. Have you ever seen a Texan try and drive on snow or ice lol? I laugh, but it really is scary!!!

Our sping is almost here...this week will be in the 70's after Wednesday. Hopefully we will hit the 80's next month, and then the best part of the year!! I wish everyone could come to Texas, and spend a night hanging out with friends on a patio one summer night. They are the best :)

I'm in Texas too and grew up in NM so I totally know the feeling! Anything below the 70s and I can't do it. I'd much rather go jogging in 90 degree weather than 40-50! While I do hibernate this time of year, I don't tend to gain weight but I get "fluffier" lol.

I keep free weights and have exercise equipment in my house for this reason.. but I also noticed that sometimes its just so cold and I feel so miserable (winter season does that to me) that I don't even want to do the equipment. In that case I force myself to do squats, crunches, push ups, etc during commercials. :)
