Help! I've been doing this for 4 months and eating 1200 calories due to limited activity (cast). Now that I can exercise I am having a difficult time increasing my calories. I'm am stuck in my old calorie routine and end up with a an excess of calories remaining at the end of the day. I know this sounds like a great problem to have but I am struggling mentally with eating more. Anyone else experience this?

You don't necessarily need to eat larger quantities of food, but eat more calorie dense foods like nuts and nut butters, avocados, full fat dairy, olive and coconut oils, etc. These foods pack a healthy heap of calories in small portions, so you get closer to your daily goal without feeling like you're stuffing your face with too much food.0
