How much protein should I eat? (252 pounds)

I "think" I have a lean body mass of 170 pounds, and have learned that heavier people commonly have higher lean body masses, which makes sense because when I was 220 pounds I was fit but my lean body mass was 145. I want to retain my lean body mass obviously as I lose weight and I want mostly what I'm burning to my fat and not my muscles. I don't work out, but I do about 45 minutes of light to moderate cardio a day. I eat 1880 calories and my mfp guidelines is to eat 75g protein. Estimates I've read online though for my weight range from 90g to 170g a day. I'm completely confused but my all accounts mfp seems to have the lowest estimate which makes me uncomfortable. Any thoughts?

Seems I average about 95g a day over the last 30 days.0

Unless you are lifting heavy that should be fine....but I'm just one guy.
Most people will suggest you bump it up (probably way too much), at most I'd make it 30% of you calories0 -
Well, no expert, but my trainer says she thinks everyone should eat half their body weight in protein - so you would eat 126g of protein. However, I'm not sure how that changes with not working out - although 45 minutes of cardio is good.0
