To exercise or not to exercise?

Options
Hello all,

recently (say over the past three weeks) i have been having a twinging pain in my lower back ...even sitting down on the sofa is uncomfortable and i need t5o prop my back up with cushions etc ..... now i never had this problem until i started the gym 9not an excuse , just a fact) and now i am worried ...

i do still want to continue my gym journey (even though i have taken some time off to be sure about my back) but what exercises would be good for it? also do you think i should see a chiropractor or anything to tweak it?

thank you for reading and posting your responses in advance

My advice is Yes, go and see your chiropractor - if your skeleton is out of line and you are using your muscles more then they will be pulled in the wrong direction half the time and hurt!

If it was me, I would carry on with the gym but perhaps do more cardio or get advice from the trainers on which exercises don't put strain on your lower back. You should also check your form when doing weights.

    Hope you get better soon

    See a chiropractor. Regularly.
