The War of Genetic Aggression
So I have been pretty active my whole life, from sailing, football, wrestling, cycling back in middle and high school to rugby in college and now I still play rugby, try to get out on the water when I can and get in a good bike ride from time to time. But I have always carried a bit of extra me around my midsection. I tore some ligaments in my knee in 10th grade playing football and I finally had knee reconstruction surgery back in the summer of 2011…. Yes 10 YEARS LATER! Well I decided that I was going to join a gym after my surgery for rehab and to keep me from getting fat while I recovered. I laced up my boots again and got back on the rugby pitch in the spring of 2012 and I felt that I was really getting healthy. I went to my doctor for a routine checkup and we did some blood work in June of 2012. When I got the results back I was a bit disappointed. While my doctor was not terribly concerned he did warn me that if I had the same results and I was in my 40s or 50s he might be a bit more concerned but due to my young age, he felt that if I just watched what I ate and kept up my activity that I should be ok and we can revisit the results in a year.
Yesterday I had a health screening that my company offered and I received my cholesterol results to take and compare to the results that I received from my doctor on June 28th, 2012.
I am happy to report that numbers are coming down and it’s amazing, diet and exercise DO improve your health… WHO KNEW! HA
After the smoke has settled from the first battle and the results have been calculated, I have won the first battle.

Congrats, man. It's excellent that you've been able to get your BP and cholesterol down without meds.
Also, funny title considering you live in RVA.0 -
Thanks! Yeah I was wondering if anyone was going to pick up on that..... This however will be a war that I will win!0
