Are you cross training?

How many "most frequently used" cardio do you have on your list? My list is at the maximum: 25. Sure, cross training is good for you, but I do it because I like doing different things, and because I would get bored doing the same thing all the time.

And if you don't cross train, why not?

I would like to but generally I am not.

I find easy to just do same thing over and over again: treadmill, yesterday, treadmill today, treadmill tomorrow. When the weather is nicer I replace bike with treadmill. I have tried to mix it up but just fall back into my usual routine. And partly I think that is good. In other years I have done little exercise over the winter so treadmill everyday is better than couch.

When the weather is better I am def trying to mix it up again. It is better for me and its also more fun :)

I do! It is because I enjoy so many things and I feel it truly does improve my fitness. When I do one thing all the time it starts to become easier and certain things I can't push myself any harder to get a better workout.

I love it! Variety is the spice of life! I spin my hula hoop, do a lot of dance & pilates tapes, life weights, and am working through the c25k program. I definitely think it's important to mix up strength & cardio sessions for overall fitness, and I vary my cardio to keep things fun and interesting. In fact I was just thinking about this morning while jogging, how whenever you start something new and are bad at it at first, it seems like you work a lot harder learning to overcome mistakes. Good for the mind and the body!

I mostly run and cycle, but I also swim and do weights (the latter not as frequently as I should) I love the variety but running and cycling are my go to exercises, I think I'm slightly addicted to the high calorie burns

I love running and normally run 5 days a week and fit in a little cross training whenever, but right now a stress fracture in my foot has me ONLY cross training. So I'm in the pool swimming laps, and as soon as it doesn't hurt, I'll be on my bike as well. I've tried "aquajogging" but it doesn't get my heart rate up anywhere near where it should be, so I'm not replacing 100% of my miles with it.

When I'm not injured, I still like swimming and biking, I just find it easier to put on shoes and go for a run, and I guess I prefer it. I'm not a fan of most cardio that uses machines (ellipticals make me sea sick and staring at a wall or tv for any amount of time kills my soul), and never liked team sports, so I pretty much stick to what entertains me and keeps my running in good shape - biking and swimming.
