A lot of the women wear heels and regular office attire at my gym
#crazyasians
Edit - I live in Asia
Rats, I wanted to stop by that gym on a road trip... Asia is out of my zip code. :bigsmile:0 -
I think that anyone who is working out in the gym is so far ahead of those not working out period. And if they want to wear what feels comfortable to them, then Kudos to them for being there no matter what. Just don't look if you don't want to see.0

All these people who wear Ugg boots or sandals or jeans would be banned from my gym. They have a strict "gym wear" policy and you must have your towel, buy a towel from the vending machine or go away until you have one.0

It's when I see the 40+ woman in the matching Under Armor outfit that has full makeup and hair done that doesn't break a sweat and is constantly cougaring the guys. Now that's funny. It's not 1$ margarita night.
Hey thats all me!! LOL Well minus the under armor, hair done, no sweating and the cougaring...I would like a Margarita though! :drinker:
Hey....I break a sweat!!!0 -
I once saw one of the MMA's that work out at my gym wearing a gas mask while on the eliptical. At first I thought it was one of those things to record breathing but then noticed the hose was not hooked up to anything.0

My usual "Spinning" attire.....too much?
Bahahaha. Oh Romy and Michele :smooched:0 -

It's not a gas mask, it's a high altitude simulator. Basically it makes it harder for you to breath to force your muscles to work harder with less oxygen. It simulates working out in high altitudes like the mountains.0 -
Just yesterday, I watched someone do 20 minutes on the elliptical in a fur-lined coat.0

My favorite is: Jeans, boots, collard shirt......I see this far too often.
Commitment. No time to change before workout. left gym bag at home. locked out of the house. no problem, workout in whatever you're wearing. next time hi five these guys!0 -

Must have went to the Thrift Shop...
Did they look like they were wearing their grandad's clothes?
Did they look incredible?0 -

There's a girl at my gym every day on the elliptical going SO.SLOW. watching TV, wearing loafers and a short cotton skirt, looking like she just rolled out of bed. I've been watching her for a year and she hasn't seem to have lost a single pound. Seriously, she's hardly moving on the elliptical. It can't be doing any good. My theory is that she doesn't have a TV at home, so she comes to the gym to watch it.0

That! lol0 -
I get a lot of the classic "Cali girl" looks in my gym... I'm a California girl myself, but I would NEVER wear a baggy sweatshirt, short-shorts, fishnets, and uggs to work out. And all of them have the same messy top bun hairstyle, too... I get flashbacks to freshman year of college every time.0

I make it a purpose to wear t-shirts that make it obvious I'm not so "angry and serious" (I'm serious when I'm lifting, but otherwise, I'm just a goofball.)
Phrases on my shirts:
(On a neon yellow green shirt) : Warning: You could by blinded by my pure awesomeness.
Exercise never hurt anyone, but why risk it?
I get enough exercise just pushing my luck.
Body by Lumpy's (a local ice cream shop)
And if the weather's permitting, I lift in my kilt.0 -
I like all the crazy sneakers i see at my gym.
I see a lot of the after work crowd just changing into sweats and sneakers and leaving on their nice trendy blouses. i wouldnt want to stain up mine with sweat so i dont get it0 -
And if the weather's permitting, I lift in my kilt.
Ah, you're a kilt-lifter!
Seriously, though, if I saw someone at my gym working out in a kilt, I would be stoked. Kilts are awesome.0 -

Awesome does not even begin to describe these!!!!!!!
I can't wait to get down to my goal of running two miles under 10 minutes...this will be my gift to self.0 -
I thought of this thread this morning....a guy was wearing a heavy sweater, corduroy pants, and brown hiking boots on the elliptical. He was going at the slowest possible speed while talking on the phone the whole time.... :laugh:0
