Calling out all Ottawans

Hi I'm Raquel, born and raised in Venezuela with a Lebanese background and living in Ottawa, Canada. I still find it too cold in the winter, so getting to the gym is not always an attractive task. I am looking for friends to exchange exercise and cooking tips to make healthier choices. After having my now 2 1/2 year old daughter I have only maintained the weight that I put on during/after pregnancy.

    Hello,

    Being from Ottawa in the Winter doesn't have much benefits! lol

    But I like going to the Athletic Club 4 or 5 times a week... along with the beautiful trails around downtown if you are into running that is. :)

    Sorry, not from Ottawa but Toronto. Feel free to add or contact me - I also have two children and the Winter has not been forgiving this year. I still make it out to the gym but always looking for new friends, particularly ones from Canada :)

    Hi, I'm from Ottawa too! I hate the cold and don't leave the house unless absolutely necessary during the winter.
    I do yoga and BodyRock workouts in my living room and if we get a mild night I will take a walk.

    I may be one of the few here who absolutely loves the winter; I spend a lot of time skating on the canal, tubing etc you could also do trail walks in Gatineau park.

    However; if going out in the winter is not your thing I suggest you visit fitsugar.com for simple 10 minute workout videos you could easily do at home. There are different workouts to target different areas. I also find Jillian Michaels home videos a very good alternative when I'm too lazy to go the gym, I've only tried 30 day shred and Banish Fat Boost Metabolism workouts but they are both killlers.
