    I used to put slices on my sandwich, but I've found that if I shred a bit instead, I still get the flavour, but with about 1/2 the quantity by weight. Also, older cheeses have more (stronger) flavour, and that also works well to reduce the amount in foods.

    Still hard to resist a block of cheese and a plate of crackers for a TV snack. 500 calories later....
