Life changing stuff...

Been reading a book called The Juice Master by Jason Vale... no its not telling you to not eat solid and only drink juice.. before u jump to conclusions like most i have explained to!

Anyway, I feel i should share some of the main points from the book that are ACTUALLY life changing to know!
Obviously this wont open your eyes as much as it did me because you havent read the whole book and supporting info, but it may open your eyes.. Some quotes and maybe a few little explainations!

"It's no good being the richest person in the graveyard!" - you can be rich in health and body/mind wealth, not just financial! you could be rich etc, but live a poor life being unhealthy and missing out on natures benefits.

"Unless you change the way you think, everything remains the same" - the point in the book. He explains the excuses people make and why they are bull****!

"The only way to stop having a big BUTT is to stop having a big BUT!" -Stop making excuses... this book helps u avoid them.

"Time is simply yet another excuse people can give themselves to try to justify why they arent healthy and dont have the body of their dreams" - self explanatory!

"One of the main reasons people overeat is because their bodies are suffering from malnutrition and false hungers"- all because of the lack of natural food being eaten, and the large amounts of processed, nutrient-less foods!

"The problem is that many people often reach for food out of sheer habit so the conscious mind doesn't take it in! " - scry right? mindless eating!

"The heavier you are, the faster your metabolic rate. Heavier people actually burn more calories than lighter people" - so stop with the excuses that skinny people have a mega fast metab!

People try to deaden withdrawal symptoms with more of the bad stuff, like with emotions, you try to fulfil boredom with fun, like you try to fulfil cravings with rubbish!

"Anything you eat when not genuinely physically hungry will be stored as fat!" - simple really!

"Remember, knowing what to do is one thing, but doing what you know is what makes the big difference between those who talk a good game and those who are actually in the game. " - This is my fave bit... so true! Im fed up of being told how to do things by people who dont 'do' it themselves, just think they know it all!!

"People like to look at attractive people- thats just how it is." - i like this too, because it is true.

"It's about hitting your head on the pillow at the end of the day feeling proud and fulfilled- that is true success" - I love this because the odd days that i DO feel accomplished, this feeling beats all else.

"We all have a story, get over it!" - stories tend to be one of the bigger excuses. You have lived it, move on and be the person you want to be, not the person that story could make you.

What is the point in going to the gym an hour, three times a week. There are 165 hours in a week- if only 3 hours from 165 are spent being active, what about the other 162?

" A diet only removes the foods causing the weight gain/health problem. They do nothing to deal with mental deprivation...mentality is the only thing that causes people to struggle when they change what they eat and drink; its not as people believe, down to the food..."- So true!! If you have the right attitude about anything, its possible. Heading there with negative attitudes only stop you from reaching those goals.

"We start complaining because we no longer have the very stuff that made us feel like rubbish in the first place" - so true... why do we complain, when on a 'diet' that we cant have what got us in this position in the first place??

"Focus on what you have the opportunity to have, not what you think you cant have"

I will probably post some more separately, but these are all the most motivational points i found from this book. It goes on about benefits of certain foods, and what some of the bad stuff does to you. Here is a taster to keep you interested...

"Sugar contributes to more degenerative disease and premature deaths than tobacco"

"You are born with only so much insulin in your 'bank account'...the organ can 'burn out' and stop producing sufficient [amounts]"

and one more i love...

Did you know the feeling of sleepiness after a bad meal (junky) is because your body simply cannot cope with being alive, and functioning well at the same time...

Many of those are inspirational, but I have to point out that "anything you eat when you aren't actually hungry will be stored as fat" is not true.

The presence of hunger pangs has nothing to do with whether or not that fuel will be used, or will end up stored as fat.

Your body stores excess calories as fat. Your activity level and the other foods you ate that week are the factors that will determine whether your caloric intake is excessive.

    Additionally, sugar isn't toxic.

Finally, the feeling of sleepiness you get when your stomach is full happens whether you ate fast food or organic vegan granola. It's not related to the quality of the food you ate, rather the quantity.

It sounds like that book has some good points and some false ones.

Also - this "What is the point in going to the gym an hour, three times a week. There are 165 hours in a week- if only 3 hours from 165 are spent being active, what about the other 162?" offends me. deeply.

Some great quotes but really it only deals with part of what makes us whole and fullfilled. I recommend "How Will You Measure Your Life?" for a bit deeper look to aligning your mind, body and spirit.
