Does your body shift weight?

Does your body naturally shift weight through out the day? I know I'm 170 but for some reason my size 16 wouldn't fit today so had to shift to size 18.

Now for the past 3 days I've been drinking as much water as I can, around 6-8 cups a day. It's going from living off coffee and diet soda to coffee, maybe 2 diet sodas, and the rest WATER! Could this just be my body getting used to the water?

Does sound like bloating. Could be you've had more sodium and/or carbs than usual, both of which will make you hold onto extra water. Could be that you've started some new exercise, or been exercising harder, which will make your muscles need extra water for repair. Could be where you are in your monthly cycle. Could be a combination of things.

If your diary is accurate, though, you're certainly not gaining fat. So two points: (a) it has to be a water gain, which is nothing to worry about and will go away on its own, and (b) are you sure you have your numbers figured correctly to lose weight in a healthy manner? Some days you've netted as few as 570 calories, which is extreme if you're not under a doctor's care.

  • Alright thanks, you're probably right it's water and my current diary doesn't show 570 calories it might be from a couple days ago though. I'm eating more then 1,000 calories right now some times close to 1,300.

    Yeah, bloating.
Your calorie goal is too low. You should eat less than 1200 calories a day.

Mine could shift to Italy ..it totally be ok with that

Seriously though ... Sounds like water retention. even with that said ... A whole size?? Throughout a day. WHOA.

take a look at your sodium intake. incorporate more potassium rich foods into your diet ( leafy greens such as baby spinach and dried apricots are potassium powerhouses) and drink water throughout the day. Getting up and moving around may also be beneficial ( in more ways than one) ..assuming you are sitting mostly throughout the day.

Drinking more water ... As u described the change from other drinks ..should def not cause you to increase a size.
