Special K diet

Has anyone tried the special k diet to jumpstart weight loss? I'm considering it but I don't know if it works or if its considered a starvation diet. I'm not big on cereal or milk but I do like their protein shakes. Should I do meal replacement with my own whey protein?

If all you have to say is don't try a diet, its a lifestyle change please save the time it takes you to type it because it does not answer my question.

There's nothing wrong with it if you can live on that but I know I'd get bored of it really quickly. You still need to get your calories in and there's only so much cereal I can eat.

Most of the special K products I've looked at are pretty good nutrition wise and their dietary plan seems legit, so I don't see why it wouldn't work if you follow it. My problem with it is that I can find even healthier substitutes for cheaper, which is why I chose not to try the program. They are just trying to get you to buy special K products.

The only reason it works is that it controls you calorie intake.

Personally, I don't think it's worth it. First off, their products can be expensive. Secondly, relying on their product for two meals out of the day does not give you proper nutrients.

Should you do it, will you do it forever? If the answer is no than you should be finding something more sustainable. Sure, you will lose weight while using their products however once you stop you will gain it back as you haven't learned proper calorie control or nutrition.

The diet is simply a way for them to get you to spend money on their products.

Thats what I was thinking. Its not their product specifically, its the fact that you're eating less and getting the nutrition you need. Thanks, I think I'm going to find healthier substitutes also.

Kellogg's recall if you have already purchased the cereal.
