Walking buddies???

I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I can find a walking buddy in Bolton, Lancashire. I have never really walked and find it more enjoyable if I had someone I can do it with! I can only do Wednesdays and Fridays. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've had a quick look and there is a rambling club in Bolton: http://www.boltoncha.org.uk/
If you joined them you might make friends who you can walk with midweek outside the club (my vote would be for Rivington near Horwich - really good variety of walks for different abilties from flatish walks around the reservoirs to a climb uphill through the old Lever Estate to Rivington Pike).
An other option is to send a letter to the letters page of the Bolton News appealing for walking buddies. Just be careful to vet whoever contacts you and use a fairly anonymous email address for first contact.
