Any Veterans out there?

Options
I have been on MFP for a couple of weeks but dieting since the first of the year. Total goal is to lose 80 pounds to get back down to the weight I was when I got out of the Air Force (security police) 25 years ago. I have made great progress so far and look to keep the motivation through great people here on MFP. Are there any other veterans out there that would like to be friends to encourage and motivate each other?

Hi, There seem to be quite a few of us.

    I was USAF 91-99 as a 491/3C0x2 mostly in command/control (SAC/Stratcom) and intel (ESC/AIA).

Hey tycamsdad! I am AD AF. I have been struggling with my PT scores the past couple years after having my youngest. Even us Active Duty folks need a little motivation!

I'm a US Army vet. I was originally stationed with the 693rd Quartermaster Company in Bell ,CA. We got deployed to Kuwait from the end of 2002 through the start of 2004. Saying it was humid is the overstatement of the year. I'm happy to be done with my 8 years since I now have a 6 year old who I don't have worry about if I was to get deployed again. While I was in Kuwait I acted as the armorer even though my MOS is 92A (logical supply specialist).

Navy here, in for 12, got out a little under a year ago when I came home from my last deployment. I've managed to maintain my weight, but I want to eat healthier. It's easier said than done so I joined here to try and keep myself in check!

    USAF 87-91.

Glad some other branches chimed in on this thread - it wasn't looking good for us "Flyboys" towards the beginning!
