Low Sugar Energy ?!!!

This question might sound contradictory but it isn't meant to be. I'm wanting an energy bar (or subsitute) that I can take out when on the bike as I'm consuming 2500+ calories and as I increase my distance its only going to get higher, but I've noticed that the energy bars that I've started using have an awfully high amount of sugar. Are there alternatives that less sugar and more carbs?
What do other people use to refuel when exercising for many hours at a time?

I can't remember the brand, but for runs that are longer than 1.5 hours for me I buy those little jelly energy things ahead of time....not the ones that are a packet of gel because that icks me out but rather the ones that are like chewing two gummy bears basically. Its how I will get through a (slow) half marathon without feinting haha. They fit perfectly in the pocket of spandex too!
A google search for "energy blocks" will give you more info. Just looked and the brand is Clif- like the granola energy bars. I've primarily seen runners use them but I'm sure cycling is no different.0
