Food scare

The recent revelations in the U.K regarding horse meat, as now taken yet another food source, from my already limited diet. although I was never a big red meat eater, I did eat some. I now find I am questioning all foods. recently I have started eating a diet of pulses, oats, and raw veg with fresh cooked chicken, line caught fish. and home made clear soups. I know other countries eat horse etc. that's not the issue the issue is I have been lied too and no longer trust what is in my food. what are other peoples views on this ?? maybe I am over reacting, but I am as a result feeling healthier and think this time the weight loss will be permanent..
