I have read here and there that you can count green tea as your water intake. I have a sore throat today and have drank a ton of green tea and was wondering if I still need to get in 8 cups of water today?
Thank you

I would add green tea to my daily water intake.

i've seen mixed responses on this
my personal opinion is no, it doesn't count as water
the only thing that should can't as water-intake is pure water.
this is especially true for caffeinated drinks like green tea
Caffein is an inhibitor of ADH, or anti-diuretic hormone. This is the hormone that regulates the amount of water in your body and prevents you from loosing excess water through urine. when it is inhibited, it causes you to pee a lot more therefore dehydrating yourself.

    edit: i can't spell:blushing:

Maybe drink a glass of water if you've been feeling a little sick. Otherwise, don't sweat drinking a ton of water on top of the tea you've already had.

    Thank you
I think I am going to be able to drink 8 glasses of water on top of the tea. Next time I buy tea I will pick up the decaf :)
