Newbie intro

Hi everyone
Quick intro to me, I am a South Australian stay at home mum of 5, 3 of which have autism and I home school 2 of them. I have found it more and more difficult to find time for me to do any exercise and my weight has been ballooning over the last 6-7 years to the point I now need to loose at least 34 kg. I gave up smoking 4 months ago and that pretty much wiped out any last remaining exercise ( I know it sounds odd but I pace a lot outside when I smoke and now I am avoiding walking around outside so as not to smoke)

So I started just trying to eat better and walk on my treadmill 10 mins a day and I lost about about 500gms a week over 2 weeks. I wanted to boost this up a bit so am trying celebrity slim rapid shakes but it seems in the first 3 days I just put on 500 gms, I found this website and put my details in and I think the problem might be the shakes put me over the protein limit every day, so I have now cut back to 1 shake for breakfast and using this site to help me along.

    Wow! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Good luck with MFP. I've only been here a few weeks, but I think most folks here are working towards changing their lifestyle with real food. People will argue about low carbs / high carbs etc., but in general, most are looking for something they can maintain long term. No judging on the shakes, but did you try counting regular calories?
