I've used this calculator here: http://www.everydayhealth.com/Calories-Burned-Yoga.htm
It seems like a lot for me (supposedly I'd burn 800ish calories for 90 minutes). I'd take this number with a grain of salt and reduced it to 500 since I normally get super tired in the middle of the workout and didn't push myself too hard.

that seems a bit high to me, also, so i just used "dancing" instead. i pushed myself very hard for part of the time. about half way through i did get kind of tired and overheated and took it a little slower but by the end, i was totally into it. i can't wait to do it again.

I use the hatha yoga (90 mins = 400 calories) seems to work out well for me :)

There's lots of calculators but I see those as if you do the entire class well. I use 400 as an average class, 500 if I have a really good class, and 300 for anything not great. I'm not a massive stickler for the numbers though so I don't mind so much if it's over/under.

Some people wear heart rate monitors to class to help them get an idea of how they're doing.

Same as yoga flow or vinyasa yoga. The elevated heartrate in bikram is due to the body trying to cool in the heat and not to do with extra calorie burn.
