Too much protein?

I consistantly go over my daily limits for protein and I know there is a way to change my daily goal for protein but my question is will too much protein hinder weight loss? And how much protein is too much protein?

I am a bit of a protien addict - I go over the limit EVERY day... I dont know about it being "bad" for weight loss - but I do know that I have lost around 15lbs in two months and I eat, at the very least, 5 servings of protien every day.0

I usually meet or go over my protein intake. I cant say it is bad for weight loss because I have not gained weight from it but I havent lost weight either. I replace some of my carbs with protein, protein fills you up longer than carbs. So I rather eat my calories for protein than for carbs. I know most people try to eat at least 1 gram of their body weight for protein. For example, I am 112 pounds so I would eat 112 grams of protein(but I guess that depends on what your goal is). Right now, my goal is to lose fat and gain muscles. So I am eating a lot more protein than carbs because carbs will not help me gain muscles! They do provide me energy when I work out though. I also know that fats (healthy ones!) gives you more energy than carbs as well. (I am eating 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fats)
I know for bodybuilders, they eat 1.5 times their body weight for protein(so for me, it would be 168 grams, I think that should be the max), that is if you want to build lots of muscles though and also lifting a lot.
In my opinion, I think too much CARBS would effect your weight loss. And if you are not going over your calorie intake then you should be fine.0
