Ripped off for fast food?
The portions they give for the price is crazy!0 -
I mean that is how much 5lb of raw chicken cost me! Its my first time cooking raw (Ive cooked some frozen fillets before) and it already tastes as good as spending $5 for a chicken meal at boston market, el pollo loco etc...0

Yep, just one of the pluses of cooking at home!0

All restaurants are a rip-off, imo! It's nice to go out to eat on special occasions and be served, instead of serving others, but yeah, way too expensive!0 -

The key is to buy in bulk when they go on sale. Around here, chicken will be $1.lb one week, then $4/ pound the next. You have to keep up with the sales every week and have a freezer.0 -

This!! $2.50 a pound is a dirt cheap sale and I stock up the freezer. :laugh:0 -

Oh, I know! You have to spend like $6 or $7 per person just to feel like you ate something!0 -

I wouldn't call it a rip-off, it's more like the cost of your food takes into consideration the cost of the food, the delivery, the preparation, and the service. All things that make your life more convenient for the moment.0 -

Not to mention the profit for the owner.
That's why it's only something I do on special occasions. It seems crazy to me to pay someone to cook for me - at least until I win the lottery and become independently wealthy. :laugh:0
