excercise machine

Can anybody tell me if the new "BOWFLEX" Treadclimer is worth the money, or just another machine?

    3k ???
I didn't know it was that much.... Hell no, I'm not buying that. I could join a gym and have lots of machines to use, for less money.

I thought about the Treadclimber too - until I saw the price. The convenience of having it in my own home just wasn't enough to outweigh the cost.

  • I have had a large number of friends buy and sell bowflex units. So buy one use if you need one. From a professional standpoint (I'm a physical therapist) I have found the cable system difficult for people with shoulder problems so a caution there. Also in my clinic I usually start people on free weights or elastic tubing and see how that goes. If they find they use simple equipment on an on going basis (at least several months) then there is a higher likelihood they will utilize a more expensive piece of equipment on a regular basis. It is not my experience that buying something expensive will make you exercise. It will however make you feel guilty that you bought it.
