I am always going over on sugar, and I notice that it's milk that puts me over. I tried eating yogurt or kefir instead to lower the sugar content, but it was still the same. I eat plain Dannon yogurt and usually cut in a few strawberries.
I make my own kefir from 2% milk and it says that's also 12 grams of sugar per 1 cup serving. If I ferment for long enough, that will remove all the lactose.

I go over on my sugar a lot. I really like fruit (apples, strawberries, etc...) and I tend to avoid the processed sugars so I don't really worry about it. Hasn't hurt me yet.0

As long as you have no medical issues that reguire you to lower your sugar I wouldn't worry about it.0

I count processed sugars and let the natural sugars count themselves.
overall carb count is what I watch.
