I have been experimenting with finding alternative smoothie recipes that are a good source of protein, fat and spinach in the mornings, instead of my normal oats or omelet.
This is part 3 of my experiment!

The toughest part is getting a good, stick-to-your ribs texture but this one turned out great. I like mine thick and this one I ate with a spoon.

Into my Ninja, in this order...

5 ice cubes
125g 2% low-sodium cottage cheese
30 grams vanilla ice cream flavoured whey isolate
a few splashes of almond extract
12g PB2 Chocolate (or natural PB or peanut flour)
70 grams baby spinach
100g frozen blueberries
6 oz unsweetened almond milk

Blend until smooth - the ice could take some convincing. Once it's full blended, serve it up in a *very* large vessel and devour.

Rough stats with my ingredients - 360 calories, 8g fat, 49g protein, 8g fiber
Totally delicious!

I'll be posting more spinach smoothie experiments in the coming weeks. Part 1 & 2 can be found here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/891105-almond-mango-coconut-protein-smoothie-with-spinach
