sugar in fruit

So I've noticed I've been in the red, waaayyy in the red, when it comes to my sugar content. I'm under my calorie goal, but the sugar...smh. I'm looking at my diary and taking out things over and over and I'm still in the red and I've only logged in my breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks, and no it's not all sweets. It's the freakin fruit that's taking me over. Should I not care about the sugar in fruit? It's getting annoying because I'm at the weight that I've gotten stuck at before and went over 300. Just really frustrated :grumble:

I wouldn't worry too much about your macros as long as you stay in your budget. There are a lot worse things than fruit to be eating!

I agree! If its coming from natural sugar, I wouldn't worry at this point. Just keep up the good work.
  • Thanks guys.
this is one of the reasons I like MFP, good people
  • I totally hear ya on this one!!!! I agree with the other posts that it's natural fresh sugar and I wouldn't worry to much. I did some research and the best fruits are raspberries, grapefruit, blackberries, and some blueberries. It's really hard to manage all those numbers, isn't it! One is in line and another is in the red! LOL

I always end up red in sugars because of fruit. It hasn't negatively effected my weight lose and health. I usually just ignore it.

of course you should ignore the sugars in fruit...Just because it has 1 bad thing, which is sugar, there are 1000 other really good things in fruit...One thing- dont take the skin off things like peaches, or apples because that is where a lot of the anti oxidants are at... there are way worse things to eat than fruit

Your body doesn't know the difference between the sugar from fruit and the sugar from a candy bar. If you are doubling up on your recommended sugar intake there is a chance you are eating too much fruit, or you are eating too much other sugary stuff and blaming the fruit (hard to say which since your diary is closed).
