Journey to a better me!

I am finally starting to blog hoping that this will help keep me motivated and help me lose weight and get healthier. Please feel free to add me as a friend and follow my blog or comment on it at any time. Plus, I'm hoping that by blogging, I will be more accountable for everything I eat and do to lose the weight. Here's my story.
I'm 5'4" and current weight is 181.6, I started out 7 weeks ago at 190.2 so I'm down 8.6 pounds so far. I started working out 2-3 times a week and have vamped it up to 5 times a week a few weeks ago. I was at 183.8 for two weeks and after vamping out my workouts I have finally broken through the plateau and this week showed the scale moving down again. I'm doing a fun challenge with my girlfriends and that's been helping to keep me motivated on weeks where I feel like I'm working my butt off and the scale doesn't move or whenever I'm tempted to eat something bad, I get motivation from them to stay strong.
My goal is to ultimately lose about 40-50 pounds but more importantly I want to live a healthy lifestyle and set a good example for my daughter. If you have any advice, need encouragement, want to send me some encouragement, share healthy recipes or ideas, please feel free to do so. Good luck to us all on our jouney to become a better version of ourselves!

The two goals you've set...to be healthier and set a good example for your daughter...are wonderful. Sounds like you've been doing well and realize there are times that you will plateau, but that's all part of the process. Wishing you continued success. I have similar goals, weightwise, at 5'4" starting at 215 and now hovering around 160ish. I especially appreciate the health benefits which were my #1 goal. So, again, keep up what you've been doing and your whole family will benefit from your efforts.0

That's awesome! Do you have any tips on how you've lost all that weight and have kept it off? My goal is to get into the 150's - 160's by summer. I have a big bone structure and a lot of muscle mass which I want to keep so I don't want to get too low on the weight scale. I just want to lose the fat and tone my body so I can see more muscle definition. I do HIIT on Monday morning, Zumba on Tues, Thurs and sometimes Sat, and weights on Fri. Wed and Sun are my rest days. I'm trying to get better with my eating but I do have cheat days here and there. It's hard because I come from a big family and we get together a lot so there's always food and drinks.0
