My husband is down 21 pounds since the beginning of the year. I am down 17 pounds, One of the things we are doing differently is planning and food prep. I am at 1350 daily calories and find I need to eat every few hours to keep my blood sugar even. I have put a large flat tupperware in the fridge and put into it pre-prepped snacks that are 100 calories each. There is a basket on the kitchen counter that holds more pre-portioned snacks that don't require refrigeration. I have found that as long as I have two places to look when I am feeling the urge to graze, then I can stay on track. The bonus? My 9 and 2 year olds are watching our new eating habits and have also discovered my stashes! Now they are grabbing grapes, apple slices and popcorn instead of reaching for only cookies or chips.
