Ankle workouts?

I feel like my ankles are pretty weak and I want them to get stronger.
I know the ankles are not a specific muscle group like the calves or quads, but are there any exercises that can help strengthen the ankle? Or at least stabilize it to reduce the risk of injury?

You should look into getting on a wobble board. They help improve your strength, balance, and stability. I purchased one when rehabbing a serious ankle injury. It works wonders!0

Wobble boards are great. So are the therapy bands, they're flat and stretchy and you can look up different exercises to do with them online.
I'd also recommend calf raises, especially on the edge of a stair or something similar, just make sure you're not rolling them out when you go up or you're not going to make any positive improvements.
Also anything that involves standing on one leg and balancing. Yoga is a great workout for ankles.
I had a gnarly double fracture in my ankle about 5 years ago and these were all things I did with my physical therapist to rebuild my muscles after 3.5 months in a cast.
Good luck!0
