I totally recommend paleo eating! I began it when I found out at age 27 that I am allergic to dairy, wheat, and soy!! I cannot even express how amazing I feel. I will eat paleo for the rest of my life!! Oh, and I have lost 40lbs since November (when I went paleo).0

I went Primal (90/10) two years ago, lost 70 lbs. in a year, and resolved my GERD/acid reflux/heartburn in the process. I used MFP's calorie guidelines, ate back exercise calories, and kept carbs to less than 100g/day. I walked and did a lot of gardening and yardwork for exercise. There is so much good food that I CAN eat (and enjoy cooking from scratch), that cravings for the stuff I shouldn't have pretty well disappeared.
In addition to marksdailyapple.com, I recommend the book "Wheat Belly" by William Davis, MD, for a very understandable explanation of how and why wheat consumption, in particular, is so hard on our bodies.0
