carbs or protein?

I have lost weight and kept it off. So good at maintaining I have maintained for six months now....so having started here a week ago I am ready to boost up my effort and move forward. Previously I did not cut out anything I just monitored everything with my calorie count....using this program now I see that everyday my carbs are a lot and so is my protein....should I adjust change both either or what? What to eat that's not one or the other cause honestly I am in this for the long haul and to restrictive turns me off......open to suggestions!
