Getting back to it after weight gain and injury?

Anyone have ideas for getting back into exercise? I was a runner in a past life and was going to Zumba regularly before getting pregnant in 2010. Now, I'm over 200lbs, 6 months out from a bad broken leg (comminuted fracture of tibia and fibula, 16 screws and 1 plate to fix). I tried water aerobics... but SOOOO boring to me. Help?
