I've done almonds, soy protein powder, etc. What are some other sources people can think of?

Salmon and other fatty cold water fish and seafood (dietary cholesterol be damned) are some of the best protein sources there are for your cholesterol...

Egg whites, some whey powders are next if you want just protein.

I couldn't tell if you where asking for veg sources only or had a goal to lower your plasma cholesterol.

Thanks, I may just be concerned about MFP's low macros. I added two hard boiled eggs to tomorrow's diary and couldn't believe it. :noway: I suppose there is a big difference in sources of cholesterol, as far as good/bad for your health.
  • Beans! You get protein and your fiber from one yummy source!

Nah, egg yolks just have a lot of cholesterol. Egg whites don't, but they're also devoid of most of the nutrition of the egg (which is in the fat in the yolk).

I wouldn't be overly concerned with dietary cholesterol myself. A good calorie goal, eating as much of your calories from whole foods is all that's needed.

I usually hit 300-500 mg of cholesterol daily, and my total cholesterol levels have ranged from 109-125 in the past year.
