Limiting processed foods by ingredient#

Options
Was thinking about getting back to natural foods...maybe I'll stop eating/drinking things with more than...say 10 ingredients?

I do cook most dinners and prepeare breakfasts/lunches for my boyfriend and I. But sometimes I get lazy. I'm trying to rely more on fruits/veggies/beans/fish, and less on packaged foods. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with limiting foods by # of ingredients listed. For instance, yogurt isn't too complicated--so why are there so many ingredients on a standard yogurt cup? Same for tortillas and other things that have way too much crap in them instead of real food.

I want to eat real food :-)

I totally agree. I've been paying way more attention to it. I've been reading Michael Pollan since before he became the "in" guy to pay attention to. He stresses not eating things you can't pronounce and setting a "I will not eat anything with more than __ number of ingredients". Not as easy as it should be in today's society, but it definitely is healthier!
