I have been on MFP for a couple weeks now. I am trying to eat healthy and exercise. I am having a hard time because I can't find a scale that I can weigh myself on. When I went to the doctor a couple of months ago I was 433 so that was what I put on my profile. I was wondering if anyone else has a problem finding a scale or if anyone knew of an affordable scale that I can buy. Thank you.

Target has an Ideaworks talking scale with weight capacity of 550 lbs for a cost of $59.99. Brylane has an Escali scale with a weight capacity of 440 lbs for $39.99. You can use a promo code on the Brylane one and get 25% off. The promo code is bhwcat. They sometimes don't work or have expired when you enter them, so here's another: BHAFF20. That one is for 20% off. Both the Target scale and the Brylane one are digital scales. Ebay is another possibility but I didn't look there. I need to get one too because I have an old fashioned one (not digital) and I can barely see where the line is on it, so I have started weighing on the wii with wii fit. Hope you find one.

I have an EatSmart scale that has been amazingly accurate and it says it is good for up to 440 pounds.

Before leaving for my doctor's appointment a couple weeks ago, I stepped on the scale. About 30 minutes later, I was on the digital scale at my doctor's office. The difference was only .4 (4/10th) of a pound. Needless to say, I was impressed.

I picked it up on Amazon for $36.95 with free shipping. It is the EatSmart Precision Plus Digital Bathroom Scale.

Check out the reviews. You'll see they are overwhelmingly positive:
