Almost 30 5'6" 183lbs and holiday coming soon

Hi there,
I've been reading success stories and getting massive motivation, but I would like similar friends so we can spur each other on!

I'll be 30 at the end of March and I have a 3 week holiday/vacation to Malaysia coming on the 12th April.

Before I got married 4 years ago, I had done diets on and off that had worked, yoyo-ing from 155lbs to120lbs and back -twice.

Early married life saw us living it up in restaurants several times a month, if not week, and I had my beautiful baby in September 2012 this year. I have only 7lbs of pregnancy weight left - I was approx 175lbs before I got pregnant andmy current weight is 183 lbs.

I have sworn to myself that I will not go through my thirties battling the bulge, its time to put this problem to bed once and for all.

I have been recording my diet on and off for the last few weeks, but have to tighten up and also eat better and healthier for my 1200 calories, instead of spending them on rubbishy non nutritional food. I started exercising properly this week, and Insanity is due to be delivered to me early next week - I'm so nervous of it but I keep watching before and after videos on youtube to help me overcome the mental mountain that it is! I've seen men twice my size having a go at it, so that's keeping me motivated.

Anybody want to be friends and keep each other from falling off the wagon? :)

I want to set myself a goal of 14lbs to lose by my holiday on April 12th. Whats your goal and timeframe? :D

  • My goal is almost a 95 lb weight loss. I topped out at a whopping 231 lbs. My average weight for being 5'7" is 145-155. My goal is somewhere between 135-145. Here's to US! We can do this and just for today!

I'm ready to feel the burn and excited to think what I'll wear when its done!!

Have you set yourself a small goal for the next while? What exercise do you think you might do?

I'm terrified of this Insanity program, but I believe it will kickstart me to fitness and further weightloss...Giving up is NOT an option!!
  • I actually have been out of work the past two months and have been going to PT. I start the work conditioning program next week. I have been working out at PT and it's helped jump start me. I have Zumba, P90X and some wave thing with a resistance band it's actually called The Wave - I tried it and it's a lot harder than it looks and I laughed A LOT!! I'm taking small steps and doing what I can. For me I am setting a goal of being active for at least an hr a day. It's the small things right now, but it leads to bigger better things!
