In love with the 3 C's , suggestions ??

I have a love affair with the 3 C's:

Chocolate
Cheese
Coffee

I don't believe in cutting out everything you love, I want to enjoy life AND be healthy.

Yes cutting down is an option, and is fine for Coffee but with Cheese and Chocolate, I really struggle...

Anyone got any ideas on how I can enjoy what I want and still not feel guilty bout it??? :D

What about finding low calorie things to eat your cheese and chocolate with (e.g apple with your cheese)? That way you're eating what you love, but you're also eating a relatively high volume of food over a longer period of time, without nearly as many calories (and g of fat) as you would be if you were eating just chocolate or cheese. I find that this keeps me satisfied fairly well. (Pasta was a similar vice for me-- Now I cut the calories in a dish nearly in half by adding an equal volume of broccoli.)

I also find that eating my chocolate frozen helps a little go a long way. If I eat a fun sized Snickers bar (80 cal) unfrozen, I always want more. I'm generally satisfied after just one frozen, though, since it takes so much longer to eat, making it a viable choice for a dessert treat. (Snickers work really well for this, since the filling gets quite solid-- plain chocolate probably wouldn't work as well.)

mmmm frozen chocolate, I never thought of that....

I've tried having low calorie hot chocolate drink instead, but usually find it too watery to satisfy. My husband is a chocaholic so theres always loads of it in my house...how would popping one choccie before bed as a reward system do? would 20g of chocolate a day be bad?? At least if I leave it til just before bed, I *know* its coming, and I don't have time to go for more cos Im in bed

See cheese for me goes on everything, even in salads I try to eat, I find them tastleless without a lot of feta or something...I would rarely eat a chunk of cheese on its own :ohwell:
