Polar beat app!? FT7 Strap?? HRM users

Hi All,

I am just curious if anyone here uses the Polar Beat iphone app!? I noticed that you need a chest strap for it, and it will measure distance, heart rate and calories... I already have a chest strap that came with my FT7, it does link upwith gym eqipment but will it also link up with the Polar Beat app? Or do I need to buy the strap that is specifically for that app... I hope not, I'd rather use the strap I have and save the $80.

Any insight any of you might have is helpful!

from what I've read it uses its own special new band that connects to the iPhone using Bluetooth (h6 and h7 band). Your FT7 would've come with a H1 band that does not have Bluetooth, so unfortunately it would not work with the app.
