    I use the Garmin Forerunner 110, cheapest of the similar models used for exercise, running and cycling.

    It can track your runs and cycling trails on a map for you and give you details on speed, etc. As well as tracking pretty accurately calories burned. I love it, am so happy I was given it as a gift (was going to buy until my awesome father did it for me)!
  • I've heard the Basis one is supposed to be amazing, but it's on the pricier side.

    DO NOT buy the Polar FT4. Mine would fluctuate wildly and then died after one year. And the battery is a pain to change.

    The other difference between the polar ft 4 and 7 is that the 7 shows you whether you were burning fat or increasing fitness (based on cardiovascular performance).
