Can't stop

Okay here is my deal. I workout in the morning for at least 45 min to 60 min. After my workout I am pumped up and can't stop moving. But I can't find a workout that can get rid of need to move move move. So should I up my time with one workout. I workout at night too for 30-40min and I don't feel like this. And no I am not on anything, no pills I don't drink my coffee until mid-day if I drink it at all. Any advice?

What are you doing in that morning workout? Maybe try something harder?

So you want to something to help you not move so much?? Ever heard the phrase "A body in motion, stays in motion"? It's great that your workout gets you ready for the day and helps you stay motivated to move through the day.
  • A good workout should hurt but give you energy! If your pumped after a workout its ok. Just dont over did it but enjoy that extra energy!

It's called endorphins and it is what keeps most people coming back. Have you tried upping the intensity of your workouts? At 60 minutes, that is going to be better than a longer workout. Also, are you doing any kind of strength training?
  • I do some high impact cardio and follow with some stretching and some band work. I have yet to find anything that would be "harder" that isn't a program that is super crazy....

I am a fan of cheap- check out YouTube for some of the "crazy" and see if you can keep up. I know 30 day shred is there.

Personally, I use my Wii. The EA Active for body weight and resistance tubes and then there are tons of options for cardio at different levels.

High intensity cardio should leave you spent by the end of your workout. It's awesome that you feel pumped and energized at the end of your workout, but if you feel like you could do MORE intense cardio, then you didn't work hard enough. What kind of cardio are you doing? Can you go faster? Jump higher? Increase your intensity somehow. And what's wrong with "super crazy"? You can do things like Insanity without following the program to a tee. Those are great workouts -- don't be afraid of them. When I first did it, I had to pause the dvd many times just to catch my breath.

I was going to say something similar to this. If you are really pumped up after your workout then you could have probably done more intense so why not try one of those super crazy workouts, like Insanity or Turbo Fire. Sometimes you can find them for cheaper on Ebay or Craigslist. I also think you should consider lifting weights. Lift heavy and that will sure tire you out. :)
  • "Super Crazy" is just to much in morning, I have 4 kids and a hubby so I have to keep it low key. I have been trying to find a good one for my PM workout though. I think maybe one problem is I have been doing the same crap since my start in June/July of 2012 and it's old and I could do it in my sleep. I will looking into some lifting, maybe my husband will join me, and I have come across 30ds on youtube so I guess those will be where I start. Thanks for pointing me in a direction

I found a "Insanity" workout on youtube, and it's pretty hard and fun, so I am putting it in for tomorrow. Now I'd also like to point out, that I do high impact cardio, not intensity, the movements are built for low or high impact, slow and modified or fast and deeper movements. So now that I have wrote that, it must be my workout. I have moved past the ablity to keep nursing myself and step up into the "crazy stuff" lol thanks everyone

Yeah, sometimes just switching it up is just what your body needs. :)
