Reclaiming Self-Control

Just emptied a 1/2 box of Wheat Thins I bought yesterday into my office trashcan so I would not be tempted to eat them. Just throwing away the box would not work, because I would eventually pull it back out and eat the rest. :smile:

    In the "old days" I would probably have had to crush them and mix them with pencil shavings, too! Good for you.

    Awesome self-awareness and self-control! I used to HATE "wasting" food because I felt like I was wasting money, and I also can't help but think of starving children all over the world. I've come to the following conclusions: 1) you can't really ship half-eaten food to those children, but there are other ways to help, and 2) I still try to be wise with my money, but CALORIES are my new currency. I'd rather waste a few cents then go over my calorie budget. Since that adjustment, I'm now able to shop (and order) accordingly.
