Hello, the other day I decided to try to live the rest of my days as sugar free as possible. I would love to find others like me for encouragement!!!
To clarify, I'm not denying myself of any kinds of fruit, I'm still eating a bread with just 0,5g or sugar/slice, Doing the very best I can with things like tomato sauces (pasta, chili is sometimes hard to work around especially living with family).

Hi Snazzy, I am doing a diet called Metabolism Miracle that requires 5g of net carbs or less every 5 hours, so I am kind of doing that same thing. I have been using Truvia, Stevia, or Xyltiol sweeteners. But that would be fun, we could share recipes, etc, I've been doing a lot of maneuvering around and making things. Recently bought soy flour to make pasta with... Was going to make spinach pasta....0

I also do my best not to eat sugar. I use honey for most baking, and to sweeten tea and coffee. I don't deny myself entirely, though. (I especially like to snack on dark chocolate with nuts.... lower in sugar than milk, it's a nice sweet treat!) I would love for you to add me as a friend!0

I don't think sugar replacements are much better than sugar itself in terms of how body (and particularly your insulin levels) responds to it.
I have to ask why bother? Just don't eat sugar. If you need something sweet eat an apple or another piece of fruit. We in America have been brainwashed into thinking everything we eat needs to be sweetened. We have bitter taste buds for a reason. Bitter can be quite pleasurable once you've retrained your body to enjoy it.
I try to stick to honey if I need to sweeten stuff. My diet is pretty much six days Primal then a cheat day when i can eat what I want. Sometimes that's sweets, more often it's a big-*kitten* pizza!0 -
Hey there i think it really does help to feel healthier by being sugar free! I cut out sugar and fried food awhile back and lost weight really fast, and i felt a lot better too! the only time i have sugar is deserts on holidays and birthdays, i mean you cant not have a peice of cake at your own birthday party but yeah not eating a super sugary desert after dinner every night (like i used to) really makes you feel a lot better! i use sugar free coffee creamer and sweetner, eat sugar free frozen yogurt, sugar free instant pudding.. things surprisingly still taste good without sugar i still eat fruit and drink milk and stuff like that (its a good kind of sugar!), i just basically cut out sugary foods/deserts0
