tracking meals ?

this may have been asked before but when you're making a meal that has mixed ingredients like chili or spaghetti or whatever how do you put that in? Cause I don't know how many of which ingredient I'm getting.

For me, it depends on what the ingredients are. I don't worry too much about really healthy foods or spices, since the calorie count is so low. What I focus on are foods like sour cream or things that I know contain a lot of fat and calories. In that case, I estimate to the best of my ability and err to the side of too many calories so that I know I'm not going over. So, if I'm not sure if I put in 1/2 cup of sour cream or 3/4 cup, I'll put in 3/4 just to be safe. I, personally, would rather overestimate than underestimate.0
