Hey there Chivers and Chivettes! I recently (about a 2 months ago) became a Chiver but have been a MFP member for a while now.
Anyways I am in search of fellow chivers and Chivettes for a "support group" for our weight loss... I figured its a good way to meet people and show my support for their weight loss.
My story:
-Starting weight was 320lbs on October 1, 2011. By September 3rd, 2012 I was down to 224lbs.. That was a loss of 96lbs ( not all was recorded on here). However as the holidays came around I found myself going back to my old ways and finally got back to 264lbs
but I am determined to lose again. The way I see it, I have lost weight before so now I know what it takes
- I was diagnosed with Type 1.5 diabetes (aka LADA) at the age of 13. I am now 22. I was required to take insulin injections along with pills to manage my diabetes. I was a kid and I didn't want to deal with needles so I would find ways around the injections until I just stopped taking care of my diabetes altogether in 2009. It wasn't until about a month ago when I finally got my crap together and went to the doctor. Had my A1C test done and it the results showed 6.5 ( pretty good for a diabetic on no medication for 4 years) I told my doctor about my weight loss and she said it seems the weight loss had a huge part in my insulin dependency
-my goal is 150-160 lbs
Hopefully I meet some great people on here!! KEEP CALM AND CHIVE ON!!
