    It really does depend on your body type. I'm 153lbs and in a size 12 right now.

    It's a matter of losing inches, not weight. Go try on some women's sizes so you can see where you fall now. That will give you a clearer picture than trying to calculate how much weight you have to lose.

    I've lost 131 pounds and gone from a size 26 to a 14, and sometimes a 12. But I have a friend who outweighs me by almost 30 pounds and wears the same size. Also, I have to lose 15-18 pounds to lose a size. Some people only have to lose 8-10. So the answer is, there's no quick answer.

    I'll echo that every body is different and it really just depends on you. With that said... I'm 5'4". When I was at my heaviest (215ish lbs) I was a size 18. I'm at 174lbs now and a 12 (though sometimes a loose 14 depending on the brand).

    I'm 5'7", 175 pounds and just started wearing size 12. I carry all of my weight in my middle section and I have fairly small legs. So it all just depends on what your body type is!

    I'm 5'3" too, when I was 150-ish I was a size 8 (tight) in most brands of jeans. Since we are the same height, if I were to guess I would say 170ish for a size 12? Total guess based on my body type...may depend on where the weight comes off you first....I have some junk in the trunk which never goes away :)

    I'm 5'1" and 114 pounds.... I still have to wear a size 8 because my waist is disproportionately large compared to the rest of me.... I try not to obsess on sizes because everyone is different.

    Im 5.4 and weigh 152 pounds my start weight was 164 and was 12 -14in jeans now in 10-12
    As it's already been said every one it different I have wide hiss so my body is classed as a pear shape x

    How long did it take you to lose 60 pounds? I am currently 185 pounds at 5'7 between a size 10 and 12 depending on cut. My goal is to lose 40 pounds. I am trying to come up with a realistic timeline to get down to size 7.

    I am only 5' tall, I weigh 146 pds and wear a size 10 (I have a 27 inch waist though--my meaurements are 35 bust, 27 waist, 35 hips) But depending on the jeans, I can go between a 10-12. Hope this helps :drinker: Good luck!!!

    oh there is no telling. plus women's stores size jeans differently. a 12 in one store can be an 8 elsewhere. plus pounds don't correlate to inches.

    im 5'3 carry most of my weight in my stomach have a flat *kitten* and i weigh right now 155ish and are at a size 10. when i was size 12 i was in the 160's

    I agree im 5'6 and at 160-175 i was in a junior size 12. I had no stomach at all but a video booty.thats my ideal weight and striving to get back to.

    When I worked in a clothing store, we realized that junior's sizes were about +1 to misses. So, a size 12 misses jeans is a size 13 juniors jeans. Like everyone else said, the cut is completely different. I birthed two kids and wouldn't think of going near junior's jeans! BTW, I'm 5'3, 160 and size 12 jeans that are a little loose.

    I'm 5'2 and I weigh 158. I wear a size 10 jean. When I weighed 130 I was in a size 6. Hope this give you encouragement.
