25 Down, 50 to Go - Onederland is in sight!

So I got on the scale this morning and literally shouted, "In your face!" I had lost 3 pounds this week, which brings me to a total weight loss of 25 pounds! I'm horrified that I ever let myself tip the scales at 235 pounds and looking back on those days, I'm disgusted with myself. I've still got 50 pounds to go, but I know I can do this.
I started my weight loss battle in 2010 after hearing a friend's success story. I weighed in at 235. Initially I did great, dropping 20 pounds right out of the gate. Then my accountability partner quit helping and I started gaining again. I've always kept about 10 pounds off, but it's been a struggle.
I joined MFP last year, started out kinda good and then had to leave the program because my husband and I were pregnant with our first child. We lost our first baby and I went into depression that caused me to lose all my appetite. At one point I was down to less than I weigh now, but then I did a flip and ate like a mad woman.
About a month ago I finally hit rock bottom and literally ended up sick because of my overeating. That was when I knew things had to change. So I got serious again and the weight is coming off.
Yesterday I managed to go a full day without eating any junk food (okay - I ate 1 baked potato chip) and when I got up this morning I felt a sense of pride in myself that I haven't felt for a long time. I'm still battling the cravings, but I feel the power of food losing its grip on me. I've started to make healthier snack choices to help re-train my brain and it's paying off.
The next step is to get myself to start exercising. I finally feel some desire to do that and with my weight loss success so far, I have a new sense of self-image and self-confidence.
One-derland is 11 pounds away...I am so excited! I still don't like the person I see in the mirror, but I'm okay with that because I know that soon that person will change.
