NSV: Down a size in jeans

first the photo is not me its a picture of someone who focuses on measurments inches not the scale. to remind me of my focus.
A few weeks ago I was in a size 18 pair of jeans and began increasing my work out activity and correcting my eating. the other day I noticed the size 18 pants were to baggy and so I grabbed to measure my waist to see where I am. previously I wore a size 38 waist and when I measured monday I am at 371/2 waist. my pants were way to big we all know how sizing with jeans is not standard so I grabbed two pairs to try on one a size 18 and one a size 16. I fit in the smaller size of jeans.
