I've been watching The Biggest Loser for years. The show is super inspiring. You watch the trainers help the cast get through emotional baggage that usually causes these people to gain weight or not be able to keep weight off.
MY question is, HOW do you guys overcome or figure out what's going on inside YOU in order to successfully lose weight and keep it off. I know a ton of people eat when they have hard things going on in their life or whatever, but I'm REALLY trying to figure out what I can do to dig deep and heal stuff that's going on inside me so I can actually KEEP weight off. I'm starting to learn that a lot of what I'm going through health wise has to do with the burden of me not filing for divorce. It's been a huge burden for me I think and I feel like that's a huge thing that is causing me to be depressed or to not feel "worthy" enough to take care of myself.
This last year I've learned that I am a huge people-pleaser and generally don't take care of myself because I'm too busy trying to take care of others, and that is hurting me! I'm trying to figure out how I can heal and was wondering if any of you have any tips or ideas or things that you did that helped you overcome inner damage so you could succeed taking care of yourself physically. Any books you've read that helped? Journaling? Anything. What did you guys do to overcome the things that caused you to gain weight in the first place? Lets talk people!

I know what you mean. I've wondered that myself. I've found though that as I watch the biggest lose as well I get more emotional about some stories compared to others and wonder if they are ringing internal bells. I also feel that at least for me this time around on the weight loss cycle something in me has changed. This is something I've come to do this time and not something that someone else has been telling me to do and I've been finding an inner strength that I've not had before. I know this probably in no way helps you answer your question or find your weight loss issues but I wish you luck, have faith in you and know you will succeed.0
