A faulty scale can do that... different placement of your feet... scale being on carpet or an uneven floor... fault battery, etc.

Does it change each time you step on it? If so, look above.

If it's at different times of the day than it's just due to fluctuations.

Every dang day. I'm a daily weigher, it's just habit, part of my morning routine. And it's fascinating to me to see how the body can go up or down several pounds every day. Doesn't bug me though, because I know I didn't gain 3lbs of fat overnight, clothes still fit, everything's good. It can be due to water weight, hormones, any number of things.
  • I have to ask you do you weigh your self in the morning and as a girl your weight can go up 1 to 7 pounds depending on the time of mouth it is due to water retention..

Do you move your scale or does it stay in place? Moving a scale can affect the weight, I am also a daily weigher and you do fluctuate throughout the week that is why I only record my weight on the same day of the week each week.
  • I do move the scale to weigh myself, I think once i move, I need to find a spot for it where I don't need to move it.

Always a good idea. Mine used to be off frequently when I had to store it in the closet due to space. It was moved constantly. Now that I have a scale in one spot that is never moved (unless I am cleaning the floor or the bottom of the scale) it is much more accurate.
