Fitbit question...

I bought a Fitbit this week, and really like it (especially being able to sync the food to here). I was looking up my stats this morning, and noticed that my count on stairs was a bit low (I've doubled all of my goals). So I decided to be proactive about it, got up off the couch (resting after the gym) and jogged up and down the stairs 11 times. Problem is, the Fitbit is still reading only 6 on stairs.

Anyone ever have this happened to them before? Is my Fitbit busted, or is it possible the thing thought I was jogging, not going up stairs?

TIA

Mine generally seems pretty accurate. How many stairs did you climb each time? We have a split-level house and it counts going from the lowest level to the top level as 1 flight of stairs (which I think is reasonable).

Does it reflect the stairs accurately if you walk up them?

The only thing that is inaccurate for my fitbit is distance traveled. I haven't put in my stride length for walking so maybe that's part of it. I did put in my stride length for running, but it still seems fairly far off when I run on the treadmill.

Stride length?? I haven't even seen that! LOL
I have a split level as well, so its only 8 stairs. I understand that it wont count each time as a full flight, since it isn't, however I expected it to count it as something. It went from 4 or 5 to 6 after I did it - Not very accurate!
