Facing a restaurant menu tonight

The weekend is here and my diet usually sucks on the weekends anyway, either not enough food or what I do eat is horrible. Tonight we are taking my inlaws to dinner for their 40th anniversary. Japanese hibachi. I downloaded a menu ahead of time but still nothing is jumping out at me that is even remotely healthy and diet friendly...Ive lost almost 5lbs this week, I so do not want to destroy all that Ive worked for in a weekend. Any ideas?

For Hibachi I would go with the shrimp and vegtables... skip the rice. Maybe just eat half the portion and take the rest home? Enjoy yoursef. My boyfriend and I are going to hibachi tonight too... Probably will do sashimi though... Good luck!0

how often does a 40th anniversary roll around?
enjoy yourself, losing weight doesn't mean you can never enjoy yourself.0 -
Even if you stuffed your face tonight, you wouldn't gain five pounds. Go, enjoy the celebration, have some hibatchi and don't worry about it.0

I controlled my portion sizes and left the restaurant feeling awesome!0

Glad you made it through! MFP has given me a feeling of control in just providing me with the knowledge of what I'm really eating or not eating. But with that has come that occasional panicky feeling when I'm eating out or even cooking a big hurried dinner for family because it's so hard to keep track of what's going into what and then what and how much I'm eating.0

This is too late for tonight but in the future--> Kabobs would be good tonight but no sauces. Grilled and steamed foods. Stay away form anything with sauces or pasta, and obviously fried.. Be careful of salads that have heavy dressing, or a lot of additions. Ask the restaurant if they have a calorie listing for any of the foods on the menu.0
